About Exercise and Belly Fat

Our belly is a prime spot for fat storage, particularly in men. Reducing fat in ’spots’ is not really possible, muscles can be built to tone different areas but overall fat loss is the answer to see any muscles ‘underneath’ the fat – which they are trust me !

Sorry if this sounds hard but its the truth, lose your body fat and your abs will show through and be toned, dont worry too much about losing muscle with diet, by exercise you will minimise this especially with gym work and resistance training (weights, press ups etc). 

Some crunches are ok but its 80% diet that will do it, don’t over do crunches as you could risk lower back injury, be particularly careful using weights with situps.

As a final note – Any upper body movement will develop your abdominals as they provide core strength and support , give the crunches a rest and hit the cardio and do some weights !
